Why we created the network WeAreBulldawgs.com

As the team at Bulldawg Illustrated nears completion of ten years of covering all things Georgia, this labor of love is still a ton of fun. Through photos as well as lifestyle and sports articles, we have created a community meeting spot for Georgia alumni, students and supporters in print and on BulldawgIllustrated.com.

Now we are taking that sense of community to the next level by creating a social network, WeAreBulldawgs.com. The new network will connect the students, alumni and fans as well as the campus and community that makes UGA so special.

We dubbed ourselves ten years ago, A Grassroots Effort to Unite the Bulldawg Nation, and we are revisiting that mantra here with this community.

Consider this a very niche and targeted facebook and linkedIN. You can network with UGA alumni for jobs- wouldn’t you rather hire or be hired by a qualified fellow Bulldog than a Techie? You can network with fraternity brothers and sorority sisters in your own class and spanning decades past. You can cheer and banter with other fans of UGA gymnastics or Coach Diaz’s tennis supporters. If you have a Bulldog blog already or you have thoughts about the Dawgs, share them here and let’s create an aggregate site of the best blogs around.
