Heading into national signing day UGA had holes to fill along the defensive line. Two big recruits, Tramel Walthour and Jordan Davis will go a long way toward solidifying the roster in that position group.
““Absolutely. We think Jordan is a tremendous football player. Has great size and great toughness. Same thing with Tramel. I think it’s a position of need for us, so those guys are going to fill a great role for us because when you start looking at the SEC, the defensive line is what makes a difference in all these teams, and that’s where we want to be. Han Vance from Athens: Like a phoenix of fire, which has risen from the ashes, the Georgia program carries on after the most heartbreaking defeat in school history. The new Early Signing Period was of huge benefit to the future of UGA. Coming off the school’s first SEC championship in a full dozen years on December 2nd and awaiting the college football playoff in early January, Kirby Smart already inked the number one recruiting class over a three-day period from December 20th-22nd.
In his presser on February 7th, Coach Smart earnestly expressed that he was “excited about today,” but “we knocked a lot of the work out in December.”Continue Reading
